Placement of implants and dental infections
The placement of implant in infected areas has been a contraindication in many textbooks. However, we have demonstrated that under strict protocol, it is completely safe to place implants under this extremely common condition. The main benefit for a patient is that in a single procedure, we remove the infected tooth and infection and place the implant.
